Our Leadership Team
Donna Casey
Director and General Manager
Donna has a rich background in various senior management roles within learning and development and the community services sector. Donna was an integral part of the roll out of the NDIS in the Loddon, Mallee, Murrumbidgee and Goulburn regions with the Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) partner, Intereach, as the Executive Director of Operations and the Senior Manager of Learning and Development. Whilst at Intereach Donna gained valuable skills and knowledge of the NDIS which she used successfully in her last management role with one of central Victoria’s largest disability service providers, and now as the General Manager and Director with Victorian Specialist Support Services. Donna is a conscious and thoughtful leader who is passionate about building teams and workplace cultures with values-based staff who are committed to bringing about positive changes to the lives of the people they serve. Donna also likes to take time out by camping and hiking with her family and friends.
Jess Moroni
Recruitment and Resourcing Director
Jess has over 15 years’ experience in the dental industry as a Dental Assistant and Oral Health Therapist, and several years’ experience starting up and running a customer service-based business in Bendigo.
An ill family member requiring support was Jess’ introduction to the disability sector. It was a poor experience, with unskilled support workers and irregular support hours making a difficult time for the family even harder. This was the motivation behind Jess and her husband, Nic starting VSSS, so that others in their situation didn’t have to suffer the same poor standards, and to make a positive difference in the lives of those engaging support services.
Jess is passionate about having dedicated staff with a variety of experiences and interests. This allows our participants to have a wide choice of workers, ensuring they are engaged in the community, achieving their goals and living their best lives.
Maddi Dajcic
Practice Lead
Maddi has approximately eight years of experience in the community services sector. Throughout her career, she has served in various roles, including Community Support Worker, Team Leader, Short Term Response/Rostering Officer, Incident and Pathways Officer.
Maddi is eager to continue her professional development at VSSS and is committed to providing excellent support to all participants and staff. In her personal life, Maddi enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, and attending community events.
Maddi finds fulfillment in supporting complex participants, including those requiring high-intensity support, and assisting new participants with the transition home from hospital.
Maddi is passionate about empowering individuals to build their capacity and live their best lives.
Our Support Workers
Our ever-expanding team is comprised of compassionate individuals who are skilled, capable, and passionate about their work and the support they offer. Our hiring process prioritises values and lived experience, recognizing that these qualities cannot be acquired solely through formal education. We provide our staff with tailored training to meet the unique needs of each participant and ensure they receive regular supervision and enriching learning opportunities.
