Donna Casey
General Manager
Donna has a rich background in various senior management roles within learning and development and the community services sector. Donna was an integral part of the roll out of the NDIS in the Loddon, Mallee, Murrumbidgee and Goulburn regions with the Local Area Coordination (LAC) and Early Childhood Early Intervention (ECEI) partner, Intereach, as the Executive Director of Operations and the Senior Manager of Learning and Development. Whilst at Intereach Donna gained valuable skills and knowledge of the NDIS which she has since used successfully in her last management role with one of central Victoria’s largest disability service providers, and more recently as the General Manager of Operations with Victorian Specialist Support Services. Donna is a conscious and thoughtful leader who is passionate about building teams and workplace cultures with values-based staff who are committed to bringing about positive changes to the lives of the people they serve. Donna also likes to take time out by camping and hiking with her family and friends.
Jess Moroni
Recruitment and Resourcing Director
Jess has over 15 years’ experience in the dental industry as a Dental Assistant and Oral Health Therapist, and several years’ experience starting up and running a customer service-based business in Bendigo.
An ill family member requiring support was Jess’ introduction to the disability sector. It was a poor experience, with unskilled support workers and irregular support hours making a difficult time for the family even harder. This was the motivation behind Jess and her husband, Nic starting VSSS, so that others in their situation didn’t have to suffer the same poor standards, and to make a positive difference in the lives of those engaging support services.
Jess is passionate about having dedicated staff with a variety of experiences and interests. This allows our participants to have a wide choice of workers, ensuring they are engaged in the community, achieving their goals and living their best lives.
Jodie Duckworth
Practice Lead
Hi, I’m Jodie. I have worked in the disability sector for 30 years spanning 3 decades of changes and enormous improvements to the rights and quality of life to people with disability. My career has involved a balance of direct support to people with complex needs, management positions and more recently I have received a qualification as a Behaviour Support Practitioner, however that is on the back burner as I pursue an exciting career with VSSS. I live in a beautiful forest on the outskirts of Daylesford which is my sanctuary. I have 6 fur kids which I love with all my heart. When I’m not at work I enjoy crocheting, reading old schoolbooks and spending time in the bush. I believe with the right support, great teamwork and a can do attitude, everyone can achieve the best version of themselves.
Maddi Dajcic
Practice Lead
Hi I’m Maddi, I have near 7 years experience in the Community Services Sector and I am so excited to be apart of the VSSS Community.
I have ranged in multiple roles during my career from a Community Support Worker, Team Leader, Short Term Response Officer, Incident Officer and Pathways Officer. I cant wait to continue learning and growing at VSSS and providing great support to all participants and staff. My hobbies include spending time with my family, traveling and attending community events.
I believe everyone has the right to build their capacity to live their best life and have fun along the way!
Our Support Workers
We have a growing team of decent humans who are skilled, capable and enthusiastic about the work they do and the support they provide. We hire based on values and lived experience as we know these things are not gained in the classroom. Our staff are trained to the specific requirements of each of our participants and have regular supervision with our teams to check in and see how they are going and to provide them with rich learning opportunities.
